What is RtI?
Responsiveness to Instruction, or “RtI”, is a student support system that our school, county and state is utilizing to help students be successful. Through RtI, teachers are able to identify student skill weaknesses, provide interventions, and monitor progress on a regular basis. Students are given support within the regular classroom through whole group, small group and one on one activities as soon as they shows signs of struggling. The RtI initiative allows teachers and parents to be proactive rather than reactive, and to fill holes and gaps in student’s learning.
If you have questions or concerns about your child’s academic or behavioral performance, please talk to your child’s teacher. Interventions through the RtI initiative may provide needed support to help your child be successful and reach their full potential.
